This is the privacy policy (”privacy policy”) of Klipz (”us”, “we”, “the platform”, “our”) services. By using our services you agree that you have read the privacy policy and accepted it.
Here you can find which data we collect and how we use and store them. You can also find your rights and our rights.
Who We Are:
Klipz is an independently operated link-in-bio platform based. For any privacy-related question, request, or concern, you can reach us at support@klipz.fun.
Data We Collect:
In Klipz we collect the necessary data to make our services work like your email, chosen username (the one you chosen while making your account), the uploaded images, links, texts, and everything that the user adds to his page. Users are responsible for the content and links they add to their profile pages.
We also collect automatic data like the IP address, device info (phone, tablet, browser…), cookies, and logs: account creation events, account deletion events, and unique account identifiers.
If you used Google as an third party to signup or login Klipz, we also collect your data like your Google email, Google username/first and last name if provided and your Google avatar.
Why We Collect Data:
We collect your data to operate and provide the Klipz platform and its core features. This includes: creating and managing your user account, allowing you to build and customize your link-in-bio pages, enabling the upload and display of user-generated content such as images, profile pictures, banners, backgrounds, text, and links, providing core platform functionality and services, ensuring the security of the platform and preventing terms violations, maintaining and improving the performance and reliability of Klipz, complying with legal obligations when required.
We only collect data that is necessary to provide these services and improve your experience on Klipz.
How We Use Data:
We use the data we collect in order to operate, display, and improve the Klipz platform. This includes: displaying your public profile pages, rendering and hosting your link-in-bio pages, showing user-uploaded content such as profile pictures, banners, backgrounds, text, and links, storing and managing your account information securely, allowing users to interact with the platform and access its features, personalizing and improving user experience, monitoring platform performance and fixing bugs or technical issues, preventing terms violations, and unauthorized access.
Klipz does not share data with any company appart those we work with to make our services functional like Supabase or Resend. These providers process data on our behalf and are required to protect it.
Your content is used only within the platform to provide the services you request, unless otherwise stated in this policy or required by law.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
How We Store Data:
User data is stored using Supabase infrastructure and Resend as our email processor. The servers of Supabase are originally from AWS situated in Ireland. Our services are protected agaisn't attacks. Passwords are hashed and are never stored in plain text. Access to user data is limited to authorized Klipz staff.
International Data Transfers:
Our data is currently hosted within the European Economic Area (Ireland). If this ever changes, or if any of our service providers process data outside the EEA, we will rely on the safeguards required by GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep your data protected to the same standard.
How Much Time We Store Data:
The time we store data of the users in Klipz depends on their importance: account data is retained while the account remains active. When an account is deleted, personal data is removed from our active systems within 30 days. Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days before being automatically deleted. If you used a third party to login like Google, the data we stored will be removed within 30 days. Security logs may be retained for up to 12 months for security, or violations of the platform terms.
Cookies:
Klipz uses essential cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website to function properly. These cookies are used to: keep you signed in to your account, maintain secure user sessions, ensure the proper operation and security of the website. Klipz does not use advertising or marketing cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics and understand website performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not track users across different websites. If we introduce additional cookies or tracking technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
Legal Basis:
We process your data when it is necessary to provide our services, including creating and managing your account, enabling you to build and use your link-in-bio pages, and storing and displaying your user-generated content such as images, text, and links. We process certain data to ensure the security and stability of the platform, prevent violations of the terms, maintain logs, and improve the performance and functionality of Klipz. We rely on your consent for optional features such as analytics cookies, marketing communications (if applicable), or any other non-essential processing. We may process or retain data when required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Data Security & Breach Notification:
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. In the event of a data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within the timeframe required by law, and will inform affected users when required to do so.
Your Rights:
The users of the platform have the rights to have access to their personal data, correct or update personal information, request the deletion of their account and personal data (appart the mentioned logs before for the security of the platform), request a copy of their personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. If you are located in France, this is the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés) — www.cnil.fr.
Users may request account deletion by contacting support@klipz.fun or by using the account deletion feature available within the platform.
When an account is deleted, we will remove personal data unless we are required to retain certain information for legal or security purposes.
Minimum Age:
Klipz is not intended for children under 13 years of age. However, users must also meet the minimum age requirements established by the laws and regulations of their country or jurisdiction. If local laws require a higher minimum age to use online services, users must meet that age requirement before using Klipz.
If you believe that a child is using Klipz in violation of these requirements, please contact us at support@klipz.fun and we will take appropriate action, including account deletion when required.
Governing Law:
This Privacy Policy is governed by French law and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Modifications:
Klipz have the right to update their privacy policy. By continuing to use the Service after the updated privacy policy become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised privacy policy. Klipz will always alert about the updates of the privacy policy in the platform, Discord server (or other social media accounts) or via mail.
